Myths & legends

Unroll your papyrus and pick up your reed pens. You are about to enter the kingdoms of gods and monsters where you will create your very own unforgettable legends based on the adventures of Odysseus and the wonders of Metamorphoses.

Each hour of this workshop takes one of these extraordinary narratives to develop a richer understanding of the key components of storytelling: character; setting; plot. Our fledgling writers will be inspired by art, poetry and literature of the best quality as they learn to weave their own tales. 

MAGICAL QUESTS

In this magical experience, we bring together poetry, art and prose from the literature of myth and fairytale to inspire our students.

Our young writers will knock on the doors of mysterious castles, and battle with dragons and ogres, as they quest through ancient forests and enchanted kingdoms.

Along the way, our creative activities will develop their understanding of plot, setting and - above all - character, and transform their wonderful ideas into their own unique stories. 

PIRATE TALES

Hoist your sails and turn your ship to the high seas as embark on a journey through some of the most memorable literature written about the ocean and its infamous voyagers.

We introduce the children to history's notorious pirating figures and explore classic stories of maritime skullduggery.

The children will immerse themselves in both fiction and fascinating facts, as well as wonderful depictions of the sea in art, as they create their own pirate characters and develop vivid settings and plots.
