7+, 9+, 10+, 11+ Exams
We support both students and parents to meet the very high standards required by the UK selective schools admissions. Some parents start this preparation early in the primary years with extra classes to ensure their child is keeping on track, while others prefer to begin closer to the exam.

We have experience of coaching children in person or online for all entry points to UK selective schools. As we get to know your child better, we can offer assistance in selecting the most appropriate academic destination.
"Jacqueline was an amazing tutor; she knew exactly what to work on each lesson. She was able to spot my weaknesses (punctuation, repetition, lack of structure) and work on them to improve. She was a really nice, positive and supportive tutor. Jacqueline prepared me for the English exam in such a smooth way, each lesson was so much fun! As a result, I got into every school I applied for, including a scholarship at Whitgift and entry into City of London school for boys." Arthur
top up tuition
Students of every level of ability can benefit from top up tuition at both primary and secondary level. Some children may need to hone their comprehension or writing skills, while older students often like to spend more time on a particularly challenging writer, such as Shakespeare. We create targeted lessons to suit your child's requirements to enhance their grades.
"I always looked forward to my lessons. I got into all of the schools I applied for including City of London School for girls, Bancroft's and a scholarship at Forest!" Chloe
Interview practice
Having passed the entrance exam, children will be expected to present themselves with intelligence and confidence at interview.
The schools like to see candidates at their most natural, so this is chance for the students to dispel nerves, learn about good etiquette for those crucial first moments with the interviewer, and to think through their responses to the questions they are likely to face so they can be seen at their best.
"Jacqueline Wheeler Tuition is probably the reason why I passed my City Of London exam!" Nino
